Lessons learned
01
Master your emotional self.
Most bad decisions I've made were reactions. Greene's first law is to put a gap between the feeling and the move.
02
Look at behavior, not words.
People tell you who they are by what they do under pressure. Résumés and first meetings are theater.
03
Everyone wears a mask.
Including the buyer across the table. The goal isn't to rip it off, it's to notice it and work with what's underneath.
04
Envy is everywhere and invisible.
Success quietly makes enemies. I keep wins low-key and let the work speak.
05
Know your shadow.
The traits I deny are the ones that run me. The book is uncomfortable because it's accurate.
Who should read it
Anyone who works with people and keeps getting blindsided by them. It's long, but each law stands on its own.
