Buy Back Your Time

Buy Back Your Time
Lessons learned
That's the game, and most owners don't realize they're playing it. Every hire should hand me back hours I can spend on higher-value work.
Take what the business pays you, divide by 2,000 hours, then divide by four. Any task I could pay someone less than that to do is a task I should hand off.
Admin first (inbox and calendar), then delivery, marketing, sales, and finally leadership. Hiring for capacity before buying back my own time adds complexity without making life better.
The point isn't an empty calendar. It's swapping draining work for the stuff that gives me energy and makes money.
That question shows where I'm holding back growth because of pain I haven't dealt with. Pain plus reflection equals progress.
Who should read it
Owners and managers who are the bottleneck in their own business. It's a clear plan for what to hand off first.
